C. Johann & Sons, Inc. has been the funeral home selected by more families in our community for more than 145 years.
As you enter the Johann Funeral Home, you will notice all of our four Chapel facilities and restrooms are easily accessible by their location on the ground floor. Three of our Chapels can be consolidated into one large room accommodating up to 110 guests comfortably. We also provide a sitting room on the lower level that can be used for reading, relaxing or conversing outside the reposing room. The entire facility is centrally air-conditioned and furnished with provincial décor. As a convenience to our families and their guests, our parking facilities are located next to the building.
Our newly renovated casket display room contains sixteen moderately priced units that demonstrate a wide variety of value. There are seven wood caskets on display that offer a selection of species and assorted hardwoods that are available in many different finishes. A species wood originates from various areas of the world that have favorable climate and soil conditions that are favorable for growth such as South African Mahogany. Other species woods that we offer include: Cherry, Maple, Oak, Poplar and Walnut. Most hardwood caskets are made of an assortment of hardwoods and Northeastern Poplar.
We offer a large selection of metal caskets and all are constructed with a protective sealer and come in a variety of gauges which determine the thickness or heaviness of the steel. We also placed an assortment of outside internment receptacles which is an added feature whereby the casket is placed within an outer box. Internment Receptacles are constructed from wood, steel or concrete and serve to protect the casket from the weight of the backfill when the grave site is closed.
Our urn display provides an assortment of styles and materials that accommodate most preferences. Our selection ranges from a simple composite stone or marble to a handcrafted wood or cast bronze figure reminiscent of a Remington work of art. Other offerings are made of porcelain and French Cloisonne. Some families prefer a keepsake (or smaller version of the urn) to hold a portion of the cremains and elect to scatter the rest. We are happy to assist families with any merchandise related questions or concerns.
